Eberle Port: My first Port in Paso

I have a sweet tooth, and I love it when a tasting ends, like most of my evenings, with good port wine. Eberle Winery’s wine tasting experience culminates with their wonderful Vintage Port. It seals the deal.

Port Port lovers will enjoy this profoundly sweet, but non-syrupy1, port-style wine. Its depth, complexity, and surprisingly soft tannins make it a truly memorable indulgence.  It is the first port-style wine I have tasted from Paso Robles Wine Country, and it has become one of my favorite fortified wines from the region. It could become your favorite, as well.

Winery Tasting Notes:
Black plum, raspberry preserve, coco and dark cherry all hit the nose. With your first sip, chocolate covered strawberries coat the palate for a smooth, lingering finish. Aged for 3 years in 25 year old Brandy barrels from France. Once opened, this bottle will hold for up to two months. A perfect pairing with chocolate, blue cheese or a variety of nuts & dried fruits.

  1. I don’t mind syrupy port, though.
